Fine Arts Museum - Augustin Zulueta Palace - Tourism in Vitoria-Gasteiz
Built in 1912 as a private house, it is representative of the style and tastes of the most influential families in the city at that time. It was designed by the same people as the New Cathedral, the architects Julián Apraiz and Javier de Luque. An eclectic building, it has decorative elements which belong to the Baroque and Romanesque periods, and even some neo-Basque touches.
The building has undergone various transformations before settling on its present form: a museum dedicated to Spanish art from the 18th and 19th centuries and, more specifically, Basque art from 1850 to 1950.
