The meadows of Olarizu, its well-known hill and the many pathways that run through this area and link the city with nearby villages, make this park a highly frequented place that allows visitors to take a walk or simply sit in the many places prepared for this purpose.
Unlike the other parks in the Green Belt, Olarizu park is less natural and comes nearer the concept of a typically urban park as this was the purpose for which the park was originally planned. Created in 1984, in the mid-90s it became part of the Green Belt. Since then, it has been developed basically for use by the public and for environmental training and education activities.
