The enclave and the location of Vitoria-Gasteiz, thanks to its colourful environment, make the Basque capital an environmental island, something which enables it to offer many activities and experiences surrounded by nature. One of its main attractions is that Vitoria-Gasteiz is a city that is predominantly green, far from the grey industrial cities of the last century.

Trekking

The over ten million square metres of urban parks, areas and green routes make Vitoria-Gasteiz an ideal space for people who enjoy trekking.

Horse riding

The Green Belt that surrounds the city is perfect to go horse riding. You can contact he riding schools of Álava or ask for more information in the Tourist Office.

Cycling routes

Thanks to the fact that this is a flat area with a wide range of cyclo-tourism itineraries, a short ride from the city takes you to green spaces with a great deal of diversity. The green belt tour (30 km) requires no preparation and is always a very pleasant experience, both alone and with your family.
