Centro Cultural Montehermoso - Tourism in Vitoria-Gasteiz
The Centro Cultural Montehermoso is dependent on the Department of Culture of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and can be defined as a space for the production, exhibition, and difussion of art and contemporary thought. Among its main objectives, we should stand out the implementation of gender equality policies.
Montehermoso is located in the old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in a 16th century Renaissance palace joined to the old 1885 Water Tank by an underground corridor.
This is a Renaissance mansion, the facade of which is of surprising beauty. In the sixteenth and subsequent centuries it was used as the regular place of accommodation when royalty visited the city. In the nineteenth century, it was the scene of the love affair between the Marquise de Montehermoso and Joseph Bonaparte. It now houses a key cultural centre in the city.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSamE8In0IU https://www.flickr.com/photos/vgturismo/sets/72157702037463051
