Medieval Market

The Medieval Market is one of the most massive cultural events held in Vitoria-Gasteiz. During the last weekend of September, the streets and squares of the Medieval Town are transformed to recreate a time in which Vitoria was the crossroad between the north and the south.

More than two hundred craft stalls offer live demonstrations of their crafts. Blacksmiths, carpenters, goldsmiths, bakers and coopers recreate an ancient bazaar where, as before, live the Christian, Arabic and Jewish cultures. The market comes alive with farces, plays, juggling, puppets,...
