Aims

The Environmental Studies Centre develops a transdisciplinary activity to promote sustainability in Vitoria-Gasteiz. We are a consolidated centre, dedicated to the co-production of relevant knowledge for local decision-making, integrating the environmental, social and ethical dimensions of what is presented as the great environmental challenge of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the whole of Europe in the coming decades: climate action and innovation in the search for a more sustainable and resilient city.

We are committed to working collaboratively with the departments of the City Council and external agents to facilitate and accelerate the necessary change towards the decarbonisation of our society and the achievement of the sustainability objectives set by the European Union.

We have a powerful environmental activation programme, with an agenda of activities for citizens aimed at knowledge, awareness, training and action.
