Where to park
The occupation of the roads by cars is a constant situation that reduces the availability of public space for people and involves an uneasy coexistence between cars and pedestrians. This situation results in the persistence of a real problem: finding a place to park the car. The purpose of the Sustainable Mobility and Public Space Plan is to contribute solutions:
- Adapt the offer of residential parking and short-stay parking to actual requirements.
- Avoid the need for non-residents to park in the city centre given the limited number of parking places.
Provide an integrated solution to the demands of the commercial sector regarding parking spaces to complement the public transport network.
In addition, the City Council has prepared a Car Park Master Plan that studies the offer and the demand for parking in the city with a view to preparing a valid proposal to build and manage underground car parks in VG.
Car Parks and OTA
- Car parks, underground and on the surface, including those park and ride car parks with easy access to public transport to reach the city centre.
- Regulation of short-stay parking in the streets (OTA).
