"Txikiteo" and Other Possibilities

A widespread custom throughout the Basque Country is the ‘txikiteo’ or ‘poteo’, which consists of drinking a small amount of wine (txikitos) or beer (zuritos) standing up at the bar, with one's friends, and going from one place to another.

If you want to go to the cinema, you can have a look at what is on. There are also a number of bowling alleys and games halls that stay open until the early hours of the morning.

Gauekoak

There is a municipal programme of alternative night-time leisure activities for young people of between 14 and 30 years of age. The activities go on until 2 in the morning, with concerts, theatre and workshops covering a wide range of different subjects: From tarrot to the electric guitar, acrobatics, African dance, hip-hop, graffiti, etc. These activities are organised every Friday and you can obtain more information at this web site www.gauekoak.com.
