The city's confectioners have enjoyed a good reputation in Spain and
in America since the 18th century, due mainly to their chocolates,
preserves and marmalades.
In the city centre you will find several cake shops that go back more than
100 years, such as Sosoaga, opened since 1868, Goya and La Peña Dulce.
In addition to cake shops, other establishments with a long history include
Victofer (top quality canned products) and Cafés Eguía.
