The Basílica of Armentia

The Basilica of San Prudencio in Armentia is one of the most important Romanesque churches in the province. References during the late Middle Ages describe it as the most important spiritual centre in Alava.

In order to determine what Armentia was like in the 10th and 11 centuries and why the bishops see was established in the village, the Social Work Department of the Caja Vital Kutxa savings bank has funded the complete restoration of the Basilica.
