This park has special significance as it is the result of intense restoration work which has converted an extremely degraded area with old gravel pits into a place of great natural value and very appropriate for leisure and recreational pursuits.

Zabalgana park contains a number of meadows, scattered copses, pools, small hills, sitting areas, paths and the small natural gall oak wood which, from the ecological viewpoint, is the most interesting element in this park has it represents an island-wood immersed in a sea of fields.
